Blue Door Seafoods was founded in Belfast in 2025 — but the knowledge and relationships behind it go back much further. Our team brings together over 40 years of combined experience in Northern Ireland's seafood industry, built through direct work with local fisheries, day boats, and shellfish beds across the region.
We started Blue Door out of a genuine frustration. Good fish was being passed through too many hands, handled poorly, and arriving at the table well below the standard it deserved. We knew the suppliers, we knew what quality looked like, and we decided to build something better.
The result is a direct, accountable supply chain — from the boats and beds we trust, through our Approved Premises facility in Belfast, and straight to your kitchen or business.

Zach Elmore
Founder and Managing Director
Zach founded Blue Door Seafoods in 2025 after years working at the heart of NI's seafood trade. He oversees the business end-to-end — from supplier relationships and sourcing to sales, operations, and growth.
Adrian Elmore
Head of sourcing and processing
With over 40 years in the NI seafood industry, Adrian brings unmatched expertise in sourcing and quality control. He works directly alongside Zach to ensure every product that leaves our premises meets the standard Blue Door is built on.

Processing and Delivery
Adrian and David handle the processing and delivery of every order that goes out the door — ensuring product is prepared to standard and arrives on time, in perfect condition.

We source from NI fisheries and day boats before looking elsewhere. These are the waters we know and the communities we're part of.
Direct relationships
We buy direct from the people who catch it. Fewer hands means fresher fish and a fairer deal for the fishermen we work with.
