British mackerel is one of the great sustainable fish of our coastline — bold, oily and packed with flavour. Rockfish take their sustainably caught Atlantic mackerel, fillet it, remove the skin and bones and pack it in sunflower oil. The result is a tin that's as far removed from standard supermarket mackerel as you can get.
Rich, clean and ready straight from the tin. Pile it on sourdough with horseradish and watercress, flake it through a warm potato salad with grain mustard dressing, or keep it simple with good crackers and a squeeze of lemon. The kind of tin that belongs in every serious kitchen cupboard.
